dcdirkzwager To be honest, I felt their previous album wasn't the same high quality I expect from The Gathering. It is good to hear they are back and doing what they do best! Absolutely awesome and trippy rock!

Michael Tholey It's very hard to pick a particular song as favorite. Each and every one is unique in a very positive manner. Simply another great album from The Gathering. Favorite track: On Delay.

pekarius Another melodic atmospheric monument; made by The Gathering, of course. :-) Own category and level.

JC Si Beautiful Distortion ne sera probablement pas un album cultissime, il amorce en beauté le retour d’un grand groupe de la scène doom alternative qui nous avait beaucoup manqué. Favorite track: Pulse of Life.
Jeroen

Jeroen Another great addition to the Gathering's discography. Well written songs, well produced.. An instant favourite. Favorite track: When We Fall.

about

After 10 years, atmospheric triprock band The Gathering has released a new album. ‘Beautiful Distortion’ is a typical eclectic The Gathering album, although it may be their ‘most dynamic and melodic’ album to date. The Gathering’s signature electronic rock sound is topped with warm Nordic vocals and beautiful vocal lines by Silje Wergeland. Producer Attie Bauw, who also produced The Gathering’s Home and How to Measure a Planet?, collaborated with them on their 11th full length studio album.
